Other Requirements: A working CA4000 installation is required (this can be on the same server PC). The server software connects to the CA4000 installation, not directly to the telephone system.

Architecture

The Siemens 4000 is a mid-range to large telephone system. 

Installation Notes

To perform an installation you will need to first install the CA4000 software and check that it is working (that the PBX connectivity is "active"). In particular, pay attention to the "PBX Link Number" and "PBX Sub App Number" and make sure that they match the dedicated values on the telephone system. 

Notes:

  • Handset mode does work entirely as expected. When transferring calls it will leave the handset in a dialtone state.
  • Analog handsets work but do not provide a full range of control.
  • Hold is not supported fully. It puts a call on park if attempted and will recall shortly after.
  • Call direction and/or dialed number may be wrong in some call pickup scenarios.
